AWS primarily uses small to medium size hydraulic dredging equipment to get the job done.
Hydraulic Dredging
Hydraulic Dredging, is the removal of sand, sediments, silts, fines, and sludge from the bottom of ponds, lakes, rivers, or any other contained waterborne environment. The material is removed via the dredge and pumps to a material disposal site (spoil area) through hose and HDPE pipelines.
Transportable hydraulic dredge and pump systems consistently deliver more dry tons per hour then any dredge or pump system in their class. The equipment is routinely used for removing biosolids from waste water treatment lagoons; sand, silt and other natural sediments from rivers, ponds and marinas; and industrial sludges, paper pulp and coal fines from settling ponds.
